Pinterest Unveils new feature

Pinterest New Features for Creating and Sharing Collages

Table of Contents

Earlier in September, Pinterest announced two new features to its popular collages tool:

  • Collage remixing which lets users collaborate and build on existing collages as a starting point for their own creativity.
  • Collage sharing which makes it easier to download and share collages in video format on other social media platforms.

This is great news for over half a billion Pinterest users around the world.

About Collages

Collages allow users to bring their ideas to life in a dynamic content format. Collages have sparked a wave of fresh and exciting user-generated content on Pinterest.

Collages are Pinterest’s most dynamic and interactive format, so we’re excited to continue to scale and innovate in that area,” said David Temple, Head of Two Twenty, Pinterest’s in-house incubator that built collages.

More Collages

Since early this year (2024), the number of collages on Pinterest has increased by 418%. From planning outfits and building beauty routines, to creating aesthetic mood boards and designing their dream dorms, people are using collages to turn their inspiration into action.

How to Collage Remixing

The Remixing feature makes it easier than ever to get started with collages. With remixing, users can control whether others can use it as a creative starting point.

When remixing is enabled, users can build on existing collages and add their own personal touches.

Users can browse collages to remix by navigating to the Remix a collage card option in the collage tool.
